Programmable Logic Controllers carry the real-time burden of a plant: interlocks, sequences, and protection logic that must behave the same way every scan. Our PLC design and development service covers the full path from logic design to a configured touch screen the operator can actually use.
Ladder logic that the next engineer can read
We program ladder logic against the cause & effect matrix and control narrative, structured into clearly named routines — safety interlocks separated from sequences, sequences separated from housekeeping. Every rung is commented, every tag follows a naming convention tied to the instrument index, and forced bits are never left behind. The goal is logic that a maintenance engineer can troubleshoot at 3 a.m. without calling us.
I/O configuration across every signal type
A PLC project lives or dies at the channel level. We configure:
- AI / AO — analog channels with correct ranging, engineering unit scaling, and fault detection (open loop, out of range).
- DI / DO — digital channels with debounce and fail-safe states defined for power loss.
- Pulse input / pulse output — high-speed counters for turbine and PD meters, with K-factor handling, and pulse outputs for samplers and dosing.
I/O device communication is set up and verified channel by channel — loop checks are part of the job, not an afterthought.
Touch screen configuration
For local control, we configure touch screens (HMI panels) matched to the PLC: start/stop and setpoint faceplates, alarm banners, and status pages laid out for gloved hands and bright environments. The panel mirrors the PLC tag database directly, so what the operator sees is exactly what the controller knows.
From bench to site
We test logic in-house against simulated I/O, run the Factory Acceptance Test with the client, then support commissioning and troubleshooting on site — onshore or offshore. The same engineers who wrote the logic stand behind it during start-up.
